OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a high-performance oriented structural composite board, widely recognized as a green and reliable building material in the global market. It is made from easily available raw materials like small-diameter logs and fast-growing thinned wood (eucalyptus, Chinese fir, poplar, etc.), processed via drying, glue application, oriented mat formation and hot pressing into large-size panels (1220mm*2440mm), consistent with blockboard specifications.

Widely Used Scenarios
Processed OSB is an ideal alternative to blockboard, plywood, MDF and fireproof boards. It is widely applied in furniture manufacturing, interior decoration (floors, walls, roofs), construction formwork, container floors, cargo pallets, commodity shelves, bowling lanes and precast concrete forming.
Note on Limitations
With high density and hardness, it has relatively poor fastener holding capacity and slightly inferior surface smoothness (needing painting for improvement). Despite a higher price than conventional wood-based panels, its performance and environmental value outweigh the cost for high-end projects.
